Hello. I am new to the group but not new to a diabetic cat. Felix has been receiving insulin for 4 years. Tomorrow I am starting on Lantus and I am extremely nervous but want to do what's best for my kitty and diabetic cats in need is helping me with the insulin and the advice. But I am very nervous to switch him.

Welcome! I was nervous too when I switched Teasel from ProZinc to Lantus. I suggest you post on the Lantus forum to ask about dose reduction, etc. before you change. There are a lot of extremely knowledgeable and helpful people there.

I also asked for some input when switching my boy from Prozinc to Lantus, go on over and post. Just let them know which insulin you are switching from and his current dose . Link to Lantus thread.
