It's a old picture but easier to link atm as I already have it online.
Hello
My sister pointed me to the forums after we were told by a vet he believes one of our cats has diabetes(on Oct the 19th). We didn't have to money to do the blood test at the time but when we tested her blood surgery at home it was 68(today Oct 29th). With everything I've read I highly doubt that it is diabetes. I would like if anyone can point me in a way as to find out what is wrong with her or what maybe be best to get done. Tell a vet what to look for. Anything that maybe helpful.
She is very dehydrated, vet wouldn't let us leave without giving her fluids however shes still dehydrated.
She had a very high body temp but the vet didn't say what it was.
Shes been losing weight for the last 3 mounts and she was already to small before that. SEE MORE AT END OF POST
She seems to eat and drink normally. I however have up-ed her to a can of wet food a day. Used to give her half a can. We have 6 bowls of hard food out at all times.
She also has been going the bathroom out of the littler box A LOT (only pee). Last time she peed out side the box was right after we got her (about a year ago now) and she was in heat she stopped after being fixed. I don't see anything abnormal in the littler box.
Shes about 2 years old we got her about a year ago (when she was 1 year old).
Her mouth looks normal color. She dose however have a few missing small front teeth but the vet didn't think anything was wrong with her mouth.
She has always been a little wrong. My boyfriend swears she has some mental problems. She just always seems odd and doesn't even meow normally. She LOVES being with and on people 24/7 and hugs around you like a little monkey. We were told my the people we got her from (that rescued her) as a kitten she was not treated well and given stuff she shouldn't have. Stuff put in her eyes (some drugs) making her need meds to treat them. She does seem to see just fine tho.
