We adopted Mai Thai from DCIN 2 years ago when she was already 10 years old. Our first diabetic Celeste lived several years under control before she passed from fatty liver disease. My husband and I believe that we were meant to have Celeste to teach us how to manage diabetes and then adopt more like her. Our Peanut is also diabetic but OJT for severAL months now. We also have healthy 4 year old Minnie and Bernie.
