? Heat, Humidity, and the Diabetic Cat

anyone's cat have difficulty getting comfortable in the heat and humidity? My poorly regulated mr b seems to not tolerate heat well. The current weather has him seeking out the room with the a/c, when all prior years he was indifferent to it. Even this past winter he couldnt tolerate his heated bed for more than a few minutes at a time, whereas years before diabetes he would happily nap on it for hours.

Since becoming diabetic, Eleanor is miserable in the summer, she's in the reasonably cool house, but she lies on the tile floor with her head on the rim of her drinking fountain. Her BG has always run higher in the summer.

My boy is pretty much staying in the room that has the window air in it. He also has asthma which is a factor.

I know the heat and high humidity make it difficult for me to breathe and be comfortable. It must be harder on cats or animal with their fur.

Only my bedroom is airconditioned. Now with the air conditioning on my cats seldom come into the bedroom.
