Hello all,

I ran some bloodworm on Heart last week. His complete results and the July results are in my spreadsheet (link below). But here are the highlights:

Above range:
Total Protein
Globulin
Amylase
Glucose
Hematocrit

Below range:
Neutrophils
Platelets

Thoughts? Infection?

Sophia

Regarding infection:
Neutrophils 82 35-75
Lymphocytes 10.9 20-45
Indicates could be an infection.\

The high total protein and high hematocrit indicate dehydration.

Vet just called me finally to discuss the results, and he thinks bacterial infection as well. Probably from the teeth. I have a dental booked on the 18th. Hopefully that will resolve all this and get him back into remission!

Dehydration is interesting. I have not once seen him drink out of the water bowl since bringing him back from his hospitalization for DKA over a month ago. So hasn't been feeling thirsty. Or drinking in secret.
