They have several formulas, I got the joint one as missy has still been lying down in litterbox when she does #2, no syrup or sugars, or other things of sugar concern, I also just emailed them explaining poor 18 year old steroid dependent Missy cat asking for as fed nutrition.

She seemed to like it, if helps that would be a pro perk as I have been pilling her with portions of cosamine tablets intended to be chewed as a treat. Have to find out about the katzen flockenfood, I got chicken turkey whitefish and liver flavor, thought saw on list was ok? She liked it and ate well tonight.

No one answered my other post on concern abought inching Lantus from 0.5 unit q12, to 0.75 when 3 hour. Post sugar at vets was 224, :-x vet wanted us to increase it but leery.

Cheryl,

I don't think anyone feels comfortable giving you dosing advice when you aren't home testing daily, and are only relying on numbers that are taken at the vet's office every week or so, which could be inflated numbers due to kitty cat stress. And especially since there are no entries for weeks at a time on the SS.

So why aren't you home testing now? I apologize if you've explained this and I've forgotten the reasons. But, if I can be home testing Pumbaa as much as I am, when he bit me hard at the vet during his initial exam which led to the diagnosis of FD, you, too, can learn to test Missy at home! And people here would be so helpful with tips to get you going on this!

I know you love Missy, or you wouldn't be researching foods and supplements to make her feel better.

If you are having problems updating the SS, make that a separate post with a question, and maybe someone else using an iPad can help you out!

I think everyone here would love to help you and Missy, but feel helpless due to the lack of information necessary to view the entire picture.

(((HUGS))) to you for loving Missy and trying to help her!

I did explain some of the issues to Suze just basically multiple private issues pushing me to where I don't want to leave bed often but of course have to. I do understand some not being willing to advise, when I can't maintain spread sheet or do home testing but can only do what I can. Suze one thing had not added was before I have always been the one to set up my pc, spreadsheets done a few web pages, pc was my relaxation time. Last year my monitor or pc appeared to die, same time everything else (except Missy) hit the fan. I was so stressed ended up choosing to pay home depot or wherever to send someone to set the pc up, so much of set ups Greek to me. They sent wrong printer the person and I discovered so she took it back with her, I went back to get the correct one then had to fight to not pay again for set up charge. My old monster and pc came back to life 2 days before the first person came to set up my pc. My printer sometimes works some times not, from iPad, I fiddle and then it works but no idea what I did. Still don't know how to scan things though have tried.
Will try updating the google spread sheet later if it lets me.

Know I frustrate people here but no more then I frustrate myself.

Cheryl,

It's no fun dealing with technology problems, personal problems, and a diabetic cat all at once. Those all drain your energy, and things like that make me want to go to bed and pull the covers over my head all the time!

I can't help you with computer issues long distance, but if you need help updating your spreadsheet, just let me know. I'd be glad to help you get caught up!

May life get easier for you, quickly! (((HUGS)))

Suze thank you for your support earlier. Got me taking slow deep breaths and managed to calm down, figured the google issue check, so updated spread sheet FINALLY, then after weeks of frustration finally got printer cooperating check and check mate whew.
Until my next crashings, but just an example why can't handle idea of ear sticks but have heard some do paw sticks and that sounds doable, asked vet about that as was concerned infection concern, but he said that's a non issue really, if I can stay calm mode maybe can have vet or tech help us learn. Just seems inch calming progress then fall back feet.

Cheryl...great news about your computer and spreadsheet! Two areas of frustration already gone! Whooohoooo!!!!!

Every time you start getting overwhelmed by everything that you need to take care of, make a list in priority order, then tear off all but the top two items on the list and throw the bottom section away! *LOL* Or, pick a couple of the easy items on the bottom and use a thick magic marker to mark them off when accomplished...you'll feel better either way. Like you do right now because you got a couple of irritating items taken care of!

If you want to learn how to home test, you might post where you are located and see if anyone is nearby that could come over and get you started with Missy. That way, Missy is in her own environment, which would be less stressful, and you'll be more relaxed at home, too. Learning how to home test doesn't mean you have to commit right away, but I'll tell you, it gets easier and easier to do until it's just second nature.

Hope you have a great, restful sleep tonight after what you accomplished!

Thank you, actually one of the gals with rescue adoption group I volunteer with house sits, asked her about insulin and she said she has had diabetic kitty and given shots, didn't ask about testing but as she's local maybe. Feel comfortable talking with her too so that's possible.

Just all in rush at me puts me fight or flight mode. See if I see her Sunday can ask if she's done ear or paw tests. At dog adoption day more relaxed too so can discuss and think better.
