Has anyone tried this glucometer and test subscription service? They ship you 200 strips a month for $12? I’m hoping someone’s tried it, cause this seems like possibly a dream come true from a cost perspective!!

The 200 test strip "deal" is $36 every 3 months and only gives you enough strips to test twice a day.

Most of us test at LEAST 4 times and some of us a lot more.

Even with that, it looks like a pretty decent deal price wise

Thanks for catching that!! They have a 400 test strip plan for $66/quarter - works out to $0.165/strip. I read the ReliOn micro is being discontinued, so this seems like a decently affordable alternative? I’m new to all of this, still trying to decide on a meter. Are there others I should consider?

That's a pretty decent price.....I wish I knew more about the meter they use though.

Other options would be the Relion Premier from WalMart (about .18 cents per strip), the Relion Prime (also about .18 cents)…..the benefit being you can get strips any time you need them....cat's have a sneaky way of picking late Saturday night to decide to go too low and that's no time to need strips and have to order them!

Another option is the Arkray Glucocard01 Sensor from ADW. It's the exact same meter as the Relion Confirm (Arkray actually made the Confirm and WalMart just slapped their Relion name on it)

The strips are a little higher, but it takes the tiniest sample size. The bad part, again, if you need strips at 2am on a Sunday morning, you can't get them.

Since the Arkray is the same as the ReliON Confirm, could I use the ReliON strips in the arkray?

My concern with the ReliON prime and premier are that they require the larger blood sample vs. the micro. The meter supplied by this diathrive uses a small sample size too - 0.4 microliter.

I’ve also found a subscription website that supplies generic test strips for a large variety of meters: www.stripsupply.com. Some of the meters they list I’ve seen people on here mention, others I’m not familiar with.
