Sorry, I thought I had updated a little on the old thread.
He is doing much better today, thank you so much for asking.
Stool is back to normal, today is the first day he ate without any syringe feeding, appetite is almost normal. The color is back in his fur, his fur was very pale for a few days, but back to a nice deep orange.
The vet does think he has cancer for two reasons, 1) ringworm that has not gone away since March, used shampoos, spot treatments, wash everything, but he is still covered - VIN research she did says that cancer kitties have a hard time getting rid of it, and 2) when she palpated his belly last week she said his liver/kidney felt lumpy and had some hard spots. The bloodwork came up normal, but my vet said that with cancer often the bloodwork is normal unless it's a bone cancer (I believe marrow or bone cancer she said).
She feels he's not a candidate for chemo because the prednisolone he's been on since March for his brain tumor hasn't helped his belly. We did decrease the dose this week of the pred in the hopes that maybe some of the ringworm can clear up. He's circling a bit more today because of that, but nothing terrible. If he starts circling a lot I will increase the dose back up to 5MG.
Overall, he's a little tired, but doing very well considering how much he has been through since the potassium crash he experienced in March.
Thank you again for asking about him. I know that he feels the vibes and the good thoughts from of all you and I could never tell you all how much that means to me.
