Has anyone had experience with VDI-TK test - feline lymphoma

Our cat Buddy had blood drawn for this test to be done this week. He has weight loss (he is also hyper-T and an unregulated diabetic) with thickened bowel loops and my vet wants to rule out GI lymphoma without exploratory surgery & biopsy if we can.

Paws crossed it is nothing too serious. I don't have any experience with this but maybe my response will bump your message up.

I found the lab - Veterinary Diagnostics Institute (VDI). They have 2 tests, one for cats and one for felines, here.
It works by looking for elevated levels of thymidine kinase (TK) at a level where it is 2.5 standard deviations above the average (95% or more of tests are lower than that). If it is elevated at that level, its way in the top of the distribution. This indicates a lot of cell growth ... which may happen in both benign AND malignant situations.

It seems to be pretty new.
