Wow. It’s been a while since my last post and exactly two years since Harry’s diabetes diagnosis. The past two years have been difficult but Harry always seemed to get better. Unfortunately, last week I noticed that almost overnight, Harry looked pregnant and his stomach was bloated and tight. I told my mom to keep an eye on it. When I arrived back a week later, my mom had not taken him to the vet and he looked even worse:( We got him in as soon as we could and while we were hoping for the best, we got some terrible news. Harry has an apple sized tumor attached to either his pancreas or his right kidney. His intestines are squished to the bottom. He has been eating just fine and energy has been pretty good so we were quite shocked to find out that he has a huge mass. We have decided that we are going to spend the next 4 days cherishing our last moments with our boy and let him pass over the rainbow bridge early next week. He is on pain meds so I hope that he is out of any pain or discomfort he was experiencing. I’m shocked that in a matter of weeks this tumor grew HUGE and I’m now grappling with the fact that my sweet Angel boy won’t be here anymore in just 4 days time. Thank you for all the support over these last 2 years. I wish Harry could of lived longer after his diabetes diagnose (he is 12, was diagnosed at 10) but I guess it’s just time.

Oh Emma I am so sorry to hear about your precious boy Harry.
I had to put Tyler's brother down last Oct.
Just give him all the lovins these next 4 days.
I'm glad you have gotten pain meds for him.
I will be praying for you and Harry everyday. Please take care of yourself, I know it's hard . Give your precious boy a kiss for me. He's a beautiful boy ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm so sorry Emma! We've all had those days with our babies. They are really good at hiding all of those terrible diseases. They only want to hang on to love us for a few more days! Cherish those moments. He would want you to be happy. Lots of hugs and kisses. Give him the unconditional love that he's given you all this time :bighug:

I am, so sorry this has happened.
I know how you feel because it sounds like what happened to my Sheba.
I thought she was fine but her belly got large and they found a large tumour on the pancreas and fluid in the belly.
She was not showing any signs of pain and her appetite was fair. The vet told me she would stop eating and then I would know it was time to let her go. She stopped eating 4 days later and I helped her cross very peacefully and with dignity.
Thinking of you at this very difficult time:bighug:
