Hi everyone,

Sorry for dropping off the grid for a week. I have been out of town on a business trip to New Orleans. I came home on Saturday sick and exhausted. Try working a major conference in conjunction with Mardi Gras. Phew, I'm glad it's over! I could not post but have been following everyone and am SO glad Klinger is home and recovering. You go Mr. Miracle Kitty!

The cats survived my absence. My sitter stayed overnight at my house and did my usual insulin, food, meds, and SubQ routine and went to work during the day. The only thing she would not do was hometest. I had her shoot 1u for Harley and try to shoot 0.25u for Hadley but he only got 2 shots and then I told her to stop insulin until I got home because he was raiding the kitchen cupboards. (A classic sign from either of the boys that they are going lower than they are comfortable with.) When I got home Saturday night Hadley was 279 after 4 days with no juice so his pancreas still needs a little help.

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes for me and the boys! I'll try to get back into the swing of things posting here again. The boys SS's are current if anyone's interested.

Welcome back, Laura! It looks like both boys are coming down nicely and you got your wish for a green day. :-D
I hope you're feeling better too! Hope you were able to have some fun on your trip.
 
Thanks Marcy! Yes the boys are coming down off their food-induced high. :YMSIGH: Nope, I didn't get much personal time on this trip although Mardi Gras was in full swing when we arrived. Saw a few parades, saw a lot of people doing a lot of what people do during Mardi Gras and had three nice dinners out on the town. ;-)
 
Welcome back, Laura. I hope you feel better soon - and rested. Glad you are home safe and the boys are ok, too.

I will check SSs tomorrow - gotta get ready for bed and going down town for a meeting - which will take most of the day, I'm afraid.
 
I am so tired! But, it was nearly 60 and sunny and I got to walk around on Michigan Ave and enjoy it. If I hadn't had the meeting I probably would not have gone outside at all! But I would have let the kitties out on the balcony and they missed getting to do that.
 
This afternoon was lovely and I'm glad you got to enjoy it. I'll bet Michigan Ave. was pretty in the sun. Sorry the kitties didn't get to go out though. When I came home to feed and test at lunch time I left the south and west windows open a crack to let the clean warm air in giving the kitties a treat. And when i got home from work it was cold in the house from the temperature drop! No good deed goes unpunished. :lol:
 
Welcome back! Hope you are feeling better and H & H are back on schedule .

I am computerless at home until the room is renovated so I am catching up on all the posts for the past few days at work.
