HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BUGGITY BOO BOO HEAD!!!​

Our little 'meezer is a double digit midget today!! Hard to believe it was 10 years ago that we followed some old back roads up to a farmhouse tucked deep into the woods and saw that little beauty starring out at us from inside the owners house .. He picked her up and took us to his barn filled with lots of calicos and tuxedo kitties, but no other 'meezers .. We figured for sure he was keeping her, as she was the most beautiful kitty out of the whole litter .. When we asked just to be sure, he said oh no, she's going too! So peter and I both said WE'LL TAKE HER!!! And the rest they say, is history :-D

We tested mocha this morning and got 75 .. A little high for her, but Sunday Peter and I took off for a quick overnighter and unfortunately mocha had to be locked up in kitty prison (aka, our bedroom that gives her a king size bed, her favorite toys, her own LB, her own running water, her automatic food feeder, a soft fan breeze blowing on her and soft music playing in the background!) Before we left, she snuck about 4 or 5 kibbles from twix's food bowl .. thankfully, with her lack of teeth most of them fell right back out :oops: but my guess is a few got down! So hopefully whatever are remaining in her system and now that she's back in the free world, her numbers will come back down ..

Mocha is also celebrating 2.5 years OTJ today too .. She's active, she's playful, she's silky smooth and she doesn't have a care in the world .. And she's asking alllllllllllll kitties to come to her birthday party today!! There will be lots of food, drinks and fun .. and maybe a nap or two .. she IS after all, a double digit midget now :-D

Poor Mocha being locked up in that horrible prison. :lol: She is such a sweetie. Thank you for sharing your story on how you got her with us. Sometimes you just know and it sounds like she picked you!

Tarragon says he will definitely be there for Mocha's party. Congrats on 2.5 years. Gosh it doesn't seem that long ago. Have a wonderful day Devon!

Thank you everyone for letting your kitties celebrate mochas big day with her! The sun and sand and all the yummy cakes must have worn mocha right out, as she just stumbled in and promptly went to sleep in her bed!
