Halle gaining weight

hi all i have 2 cats ...elvis is diabetic and halle whi is not..i really feel i had an issue with the food the vet gave for elvis. hills prescription w/d wet and dry...she said it was fine to feed to both littys..but halle has gained weight...she wont let me take her bg (just to check) i am goning to have my husband try (she likes boys ) could the food make hr balloon like this

It could. Check the calorie load of the food on Janet and Binky's charts, available through this link. Some lower carb foods are higher in calories when they increase the fat instead of the protein.
