half unit syringes - buying advice

I want to get some half unit syringes for Lantus u-100 and I've found 3 possibles. Not sure about the gauge or needle length.
Can anyone give a recommendation?

Only the first link works. The Relion syringe are OK but some caretakers say there are more problems with bubbles in the syringe. However, they are about half the price of BD syringes.

I use the Terumo syringes and I love, love LOVE them! They don't have the little cone of doom between the syringe top and the needle.

The SureComfort needles you linked to on ADW, I just bought a bunch of those. I like them, the barrel is easy to prime to avoid air bubbles. They are the 3/10cc; 5/16" length, 31 gauge, half unit markings.

I think the 3/10cc is easier to measure smaller doses because the barrel is larger so the hash marks are further apart.

Half unit markings is easier to measure small doses and the 31 gauge is so thin my cats don't feel the needle. The higher the gauge the thinner the needle. A 29 gauge needle causes my cats discomfort.

5/16" is a short needle, I buy those for my kitties comfort. I have used 1/2" needles when I need to, but my cats can feel the poke when I do that. Years ago before I learned about these short thin needles giving insulin to my Misty was like walking on a hot tin roof. She was constantly pushing away from me. Once we switched she was easy to poke

Needle length and gauge is mostly preference. The only choice combinations for half unit marked insulin syringes are 1/2 inch 30 gauge, 1/2 inch 29 gauge, 5/16 inch 30 gauge, and 5/16 inch 31 gauge. Try them all to see what works best for you and your cat.

Brand is generally preference and how much you are willing to pay. Relion is good and inexpensive but not a good choice if you do not have a Wal Mart store nearby or easy access to one. BD is top of the line and expensive. Monojects are good. GNP is another brand some people here use.

Thinking of trying the Relion syringes.
Walmart is actually the closest shop to where I live so that's plus.

I use the Relion ones. They're ok. A few quirks, but you get used to them and they are the cheapest.

I get 31ga 5/16" Sure Comforts (or Monojects) from ADW

I went with the Relion short 3/10cc, 31 gauge.

My vet prescribed the BD 1/2 in - which was considerably more expensive. Almost double the price at Costco.
Of course, not knowing anything a 12 days ago (wow - is that all its been!), I got them and the vial of lantus.

I think the short needle gives me more confidence that I'm not going in muscle.
