Hair Loss Under Eyes

Please see attached pics. Has anyone experienced this? It started about a week ago and seems more prominent under one eye. No squinting, itching, excessive grooming, or weird pus/discharge. He has had issues in the past with watery/teary eyes, but not recently. He's on 2 units of Lantus at the moment. Will probably increase soon. Has also been constipated recently, but pumpkin is helping with that.

I think ig is just due to eye discharge (tears) matting the fir and maybe causing temporary fur loss. I sometimes notice similar on my white cat
