It has been about a month since I was last on this site - I have really missed you guys! :YMHUG:
My life this past month has been incredibly hectic & I just have not had as much time for the computer as I used to. I have also been dealing with some medical concerns of my own & I really needed to cut down the stress level in my life! As a result, I have not been testing Morris' BG levels at all this past month! I know that is going to upset a lot of people here, but I just couldn't deal with the added stress of his bouncing numbers. (Plus, my vet has always thought I test Morris too much, so she thought he could use a break as well!)
Morris had his 1 year anniversary of his diabetes diagnosis last week (July 20). He will have his 1 year anniversary of starting insulin tomorrow (July 27) - he was on caninsulin initially, then we switched over to Lantus in November 2009. I can't believe the difference in him now as compared to how sick he was 1 year ago!
I have scheduled Morris' yearly check up with our regular vet for Aug 13. He will have his check up, labs drawn & vaccines given.
I will be resuming daily checks of Morris' BG levels this evening. Life is beginning to return to normal at our house & I am hopeful that when I see my own doctor this Friday that she will give me good news about all of my medical issues as well!
I wanted to pop in & update everyone on what has been happening in our lives lately. I will resume posting daily condo's for Morris tomorrow.
