I was brushing Sadi's teeth this morning & noticed some blood on her toothbrush, I opened her mouth & on the right side back teeth there is blood. I am calling her vet to get her in on Monday (they are closed Sundays) I have had plans to schedule a dental for her, is there anything I can do over the weekend? She is acting, eating, drinking fine. It was just the toothbrush that gave me any indication of something wrong.

Thanks, Devon.. I appreciate the well wishes.
It was a disaster.. I got the Rescue Remedy & quickly dressed to rush over there for an appointment that was "available" in 15 minutes. Still waiting 30mins later (noon) & they were closing. I was not once greeted, they were extremely busy & having personal conversations in lengthy with customers, looking at pictures, etc. I was very upset & eventually took Sadi & went to the front desk & said, it is now noon, our appointment was at 11:30am & we have not even been greeted, we will come back another time & I left in tears.

I am very upset, Sadi will have her dental but probably at a different vet because I am not going to have her treated like a nobody. I couldn't care less how they perceive me, but to make Sadi wait, stressed out, upset, crying & to not even greet us? :YMSIGH:

I will look at her gum here in a few hours, I suspect it is a touch of gingivits or something & now know the dental is urgent.

Thank you for caring.

Sorry to hear what happened at the vet. Since you are getting her a dental very soon, I would stop brushing her teeth for now. As you could just irritate what is already a problem and cause her unnecessary pain.

A few days without tooth brushing won't make a difference, especially with an upcoming dental.

Ohhh, I'm sorry too, for what happened at the vet's. I know what it it's like to leave in tears..

I think I have a cat dental emergency too, on my hands...Wishing us both luck.

Thanks, Hillary - I agree with you, a few days is ok since I plan to have her dental soon. I did check her gum/tooth this afternoon & no swelling or redness - she continues to act fine & eat well.

Thanks, Jayne - gosh, I sure have hugs & support your way too.
