I went through many brands of can cat food and flavors (I can't even count). We even tried the high meat content expensive product that was $2.00 per can and my cat didn't like any of them for any length of time. I also tried the prescription Purina DM can food and he liked it just for a nibble here and there. Low and behold I have found two that my cat loves and I thought I would share about them. Both are on binky's list (one on the new and the other on the old list).

Sophistacat (Petsmart brand) in Liver & Chicken Dinner
(no wheat gluten or grain)

Fancy Feast in Tender Liver & Chicken Feast Classic
(no wheat gluten or grain)

Both of the above are claimed to be low in carbs.

For another brand/flavor that my cat liked somewhat (not as well as the above however) is:

Natures Variety Instinct - Rabbit Formula

I hope this helps to those who are having a hard time changing their cats food to low carb + having their feline like it.

Lisa and Apollo

Thanks. I just bought the rabbit and wasn't brave enough to give it a try. Will see what my folks say to it tonight :)

Jana....yes, finally. I nearly lost my sweet Apollo as it was hard to get his glucose down and he nearly stopped eating completely. I had a scare one day and took him in to get some fluids in him (sub-q) and it helped. I kept trying every food I could, as well as raw and even fed him some of my chicken as he would eat that. And finally...he loves a couple flavors/brands. But no other flavors. Thank you to you and everyone for your wonderful feedback. I'll check his glucose in a couple days to see where he is at (crossing my fingers). He is gaining some weight now too and he is feeling much better--yeah!
