It's official... someone clearly has kidnapped my dear sweet Grayson and replaced him with an imposter. My sweet gentle boy would NEVER do the things this infiltrator has done.

I have a heavy oak breadbox my BIL made, and there are [were] unopened packages of treats inside. Not something easily opened, but the ravenous fiend that has showed up at my house wearing a similar suit to my guy Grayson (perhaps a tad bit smaller) apparently figured out how to open it. Now, I don't expect he did this without any assistance, so I'm blaming Dom the dog as a partner in this crime. Normally blame would be placed on Jack, however, he was serving time in jail from another incident this morning (jail is the small crate without blankies). So this package of treats, or at least 7 pieces of the package, were on the floor in the dining room. The imitation Grayson and Dom weren't sitting on the dog bed patting their tummies like they've been known to do when they have been naughty, no! This imposter was STILL hungry! He ate an entire can of FF at lunchtime (after being caught!)...then tried to get my sandwich!!! WHO IS THIS GUY???!!!

So it's not hard to understand the 100 point spike in his numbers, which I thought were going to be really good today...

AMPS 370 Shot 3.2
+4 296
+6 211 WOO HOO! ...wait.... Busted!
+6.5 315 ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

So the good news is we saw a curve... which possibly could've even made it to the blues today... but that was short lived. So, wherever Mr. P has taken the REAL Grayson... PLEASE bring him home!!!

In defense of your "sweet boy" ..... in the beginning while they are still unregulated, they are HUNGRY! And since Payne lost so much weight, I fed her as much as she would eat, and she is a great eater!! I did try to keep her eating raw meat and lightly poached chicken. I don't feed her any fish or beef, finding that she does better with chicken, turkey, liver. I like to see how much GOOD food I can come up with that won't mess with her numbers, one of the many steps in this dance that she definitely is leading ..... ohmygod_smile

Nancy and Payne .....
who has lifted her head and looks hungry :)

I guess I'm just being too hard on the little guy hiding under that gray suit... While his ketones were up some, he ate more normally. But today - he would've eaten my leg if I hadn't put down the food! But the breaking into the breadbox? That was pure NAUGHTY!!! Not that Dom didn't play a role. Grayson might have gotten it out, but Dom is the one that would've carried it into the dining room & onto the dog bed! And probably opened it too! Grayson could've torn it open on the counter & eaten the contents there.

...well i say that, then he proves me wrong again. He's dancing around the dining room playing paw hockey w/ the krinkle ball, then in his mouth! I think he's part retriever! You'd think it was fighting back, the way he's smacking it and meowing at it - and there's no catnip in it at all! Suddenly he's getting VERY vocal! I promised him dinner at 7, and he's ready a few minutes early!

Heis also not used to the low numbers
so maybe he was feelin so good he had the "munchies!"

ROTFLOL!  Poor doggie!!! He sure doesn't have a poker face!!!

Here are todays numbers so far:
AMPS 370 Shot 3.2
+4 296
+6 211 WOO HOO! ...wait.... Busted w/ Whiska Lickins!
100 mL SubQs
+6.5 315 He definitely got some! Looks like Dom had some too.
+10 290
PMPS 326 (+11.5) Shot 3.2u
TRACE ketones
+2.25 340

Should start dropping pretty soon...

Barring no surprises, we'll probably take on the 3.5u tomorrow morning. I should be around most of the weekend to keep an eye on him - so that will be good. Lent out a bunch of tools to a friend for the weekend, so I'm exempted from some of the home projects that I would otherwise guilt myself about. I guess that means I can do some much needed household chores instead, in addition to checking in on some of our pet friends. After a very full, busy, stressful week, I'm looking forward to this "down time" and catching up! Hopefully, we're off to a good start!
