Hi guys -

Having a little issue w/ Google right now, but the past few days have been really interesting to my little Acro-cat. We've gone from an extremely high dose, to less than 1/3 of where he's been.

Suffice it to say that he lost his appetite, then diarhea and moping around the house. High nubmers, a dx of Pancreatitus, a little R, and BAM!!! A 400+ point drop and he surfs greens! For HOURS! I was totally outa my element, and didn't know what to shoot. Thank goodness for folks here and on the Acro board. Today he's had yellow preshots and surfed mid-blues on less than 1/3 of his dose.

Thinking this is either the SRT treatment, or his insulin resistance finally breaking through. Whichever it is... I'll take it!

Has he gotten his appetite back yet? I can't remember, is he prone to p-titis? Beau used to be, but I am totally out of practice treating it these days.

Paws crossed for more good numbers, and lower doses! Yay, Grayson!

PS - greens are way off to the right on the SS - I couldn't find them at first and was thinking that Lu Ann had finally lost it

He was kind enough to give me the greens overnight... twice!  So, although I FELT like I'd LOST IT, it really happened. And I got sleep in 50 minute increments!!!

This was his first bout with P'titus, (although it probably could've been his IBD acting up too) but he seems to be doing well. He's been on Zeniquin & Metronidazole for a few days with no obvious side effects. Poop is almost normal - not liquid (like w/ Clavamox for ear infection). Appetite is back. 2 cans this morning with his shot.

It's funnty - the transformation of my house from "the natives are restless" to everyone fed and happy. It's very peaceful now, but boy, you should've seen it 20 minutes ago!!! Grayson probably has a target on his back since he always seems to get food and everyone else has to wait!

I think Grayson is going to church tomorrow - well the Episcoapal Church, where they'll do a blessing of the animals. The priest is actually a licensed vet! Pretty cool, huh? I'm sure he'll LOVE being around all the droolers! Poor Dom & Jack will probably stay home, unless someone takes pity on them and will help.

I've gone to one here several times before at the local college. It was outdoors. The Epis. church has a nice fenced courtyard with benches & such. I expect that's where it will be. With enough room, and most dogs well behaved, it's not too chaotic.

...although my Jack (a Jack Russell/beagle mix) does this wailing thing when he sees another dog. Thinks he needs to greet each one! Since we'd been walking w/ as many as 21 other dogs, he'd gotten past that - mostly - but we didn't walk much through the heat of the summer, and he may have forgotten! I don't think my back will support taking the dogs. Grayson has a carrier that's like an airline carry-on w/ wheels & a handle. That's what we took to the vet last week. He's ridden through airports in it, so I'm guessing he'll be fine. If he seems stressed, we can always leave. I just like the idea of a vet/priest blessing him! (she's one I called when we needed one for Bark for Life, and wanted to do it, but was scheduled out of town that weekend).
