Thanks all! He was truly a treasure, and I was blessed to have him as long as I did. He and his sisters were the first litter that I ever experienced the birth of. I'm so glad Tedi (abandoned neighbor's kitty) came inside for those 2 weeks before she delivered. She's never looked back!!!
So many of my friends here played a role in Grayson's life - and I am extremely grateful. If it hadn't been for all the encouragement when we were starting out 3+ years ago, the encouragement to test for Acro/IAA, and the wisdom from others that have been in the trenches, I don't know that we would have had much of the time together we had. He, and you guys, taught me so much. And Herb (diet controlled), Chloe (GA-cancer, diet-controlled senior foster failure), and Spartacus (foster failure, insulin dependent) have all benefitted from what I learned here.
Today isn't a sad day - rather a day to look back and remember. And to laugh at the celebrations we had for their birthdays! One of the funniest was when I posted and e-mailed an invitation to celebrate G's birthday with us. So many friends posted pics of their kitties and pups with birthday hats on, or eating presents, etc. One local friend called and asked "What time should we be there?" YIKES!!! Clean the house, buy a cake, invite others to come to a physical party... It was a blast... just not what I was planning!
So today, hug your kitties, or remember the times you had with them, and celebrate the things that were some of the unexpected joys in your lives together!
