Grayson decided he liked Kim today! This is good, as I'm not always able to be here. As you may recall, last time she came to shoot him, it took 30 minutes to peel him from behind the piano! Today, it only took a couple of freeze dried shrimpies! Who knew??? Anyways, I think they'll be just fine as long as she keeps everything in order (reverse order for most people!). Treat, Food, Test, then Shoot!!!

After mostly pinks and even a yellow on Saturday, he's back to the reds... with little to no range. Adjusting back to BID... I'm seeing lots of reds again! 9 days til start Levemir!

Some time back, someone asked about weighing their cat. I'm sure I suggested leaving the scale in a place where the cat could sniff it and realize it's just another inanimate object in the house.

Tonight I walked into the dining room, and here's Grayson, all sprawled out on it, and lookng VERY handsome w/ his velvet belly (hair is starting to grow back in). He's now checking in between 13.2 and 13.3 pounds! A far cry from 21.6 pounds, but definitely an improvement... and hopefully not just Acro growth!

At one point, he was eating ravenously, and I attributed that to the high dose of insulin he was getting. He's now getting the same dose, in some cases TID - and his appetite is more normal. Ketones are still negative - can't imagine they'd want to rear their ugly little heads with THIS MUCH insulin, but you can't be too careful, so I still test! ;-)

He test drove a new harness today. Seemed to actually not mind it... except the getting it on part! I have visions of him running through the airport after clearing security... so it's important to get him accustomed to the harness. Our local PetSmart had the typical leash -type harnesses, but in the dog dept, they had several different varieties... for small or extra small dogs, that is! He's much more macho than a yorkie, but probably doesn't need the extra heavy straps! It looks almost like a little mesh tank-top on him... and of COURSE he looks extremely handsome in it!!! Will be returning the others... no reason to hold onto them. I expect Dom & Jack will be more than happy to return them for him! As long as Dom doesn't fall in love with any more lizards or rodents, that will be just fine!

Hi Lu
Glad Grayson is doing well!
Good luck with the Levemir
I have the script and will most likely start on Levemir soon,
