Hope everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day (you too Carl!). Grayson decided the flower I got was YUMMY!!! :o It's now at the office so I can enjoy what's left of it! ;-)

So, this morning was completely uneventful for Grayson. I have to say it's nice he stayed in the pinks instead of shooting to the reds, but seriously??? How many pancakes does one kitty need to maintain a range of +/-1 point???

AMPS 387 Shot 5.4u
+6 388
NEG ketones (yippee!!!)
(+9) MDPS 386 Determined to have movement, I shot 6.4u - from the old vial though.... it's now officially empty.
+2.5 335 MOVEMENT - FINALLY!!! Grayson has left the IHOP!!! (I think he probably just went to the convenience store on the corner!)

That 335 may have been the low point... that's what happens when you don't test obsessively!

+6.3 375

Guess I don't have to worry that he'll be too low to shoot ;-) (see, there IS another bright side to insulin resistance!) - the down side, however, is that that little bottle empties SO MUCH quicker than before! Hmmmm.... Especially hard ot fathom as I see some of these other kitties haggling over .1u - knowing I was there just a few months ago, makes it even harder to wrap my head around!

Anyways, I just sorted through a ton of paperwork - primarily vet records, as all of Grayson's new stuff, and the unfiled things from everyone else, have been taking up prime real estate in my house. They're now in a neat & orderly tabbed 3-ring binder. Now, if only the REST of my life was that orderly!

Re: Grayson 5/14 - Pancakes Everyone???

If you ever get caught up, I have LOTS of stuff you can help organize!!  I remember the days of being organized...vaguely...

Glad Grayson left IHOP at least for a little while.

Have a great night -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

Pissst hey Grayson....you finally left IHop? What did you get at the store on the corner? Next time you go will you get me bubble gum? I love bubble gum...the fruity kind okay? You should try leaving IHop more often. Maybe go to the mall or the red circle store. I can't remember what the place is called. I just see the sacks that have red circles on it. Mom goes there every week. She also goes to the mall every week. She always has something new & pretty on.
I hope you get better really soon Grayson so we can go to the mall & pick up pretty kitties. :thumbup
Goodnight, Grayson~Your Buddy Baxter

Hi Grayson, it's Linus. Mom said I didn't have enough pancakes yesterday and this morning I'm bouncing. She can't decide who she likes better, the pancakes me or the bouncing me. She didn't get to the store yesterday to get more catfud flavors, so I'm stuck eating the same stuff. I wanted the waffle flavor with gravy.

When you get better we will have a big party at IHOP with all the girls there. I already have my outfit picked out.

see ya later,
Linus

Linus - I like the pancake you best, cuz that means you/we have been hanging out w/ all our friends! I ALWAYS eat the same stuff... maybe now that Mom knows its the insulin resistance and not the food, she'll expand my horizons??? Linus, Linus, Linus... SYRUP - you need SYRUP for your waffles - not gravy!!! I hear syrup makes you feel better -especially when you're down in the dumps! Although I stay at IHOP, mom never lets me have syrup!

So Baxter's mom gets pretty clothes, and Linus has an outfit (BTW: you look so cool w/ your gloves on!)... my mom NEVER takes me anywhere but to the place where everybody squeezes you funny! Last time they gave me a funny haircut too - mom says it shows off my bikini body... :o then she said something about a kitty speedo - whatever THAT is! :o

Gotta run... Mom's coming home soon!

Oh, boy I think Robbie read these posts and decided pancakes sounded just fine - I had no idea there was an iHop anywhere near us-
so glad everyone has a good sense of humor about all this - hang in there everyone!!

Sounds like the party was at IHOP - guess Hershey was warming up his table dancing - the kids caught him while I was on a Walmart run...thought we had broken him of that. :YMSIGH: He did it as a kitten and not again until after FD diagnosis and we switched him to all wet...maybe we can blame the company and get enough to support the insulin habit?

I hope I didn't contribute to his delinquency while he was visiting Grayson! :o He did look at me as if to say... this isn't right!

Who knows where he got it. He LIVES with a delinquent! Keep catching Oreo on the kitchen counter BEHIND the microwave (a space of only a couple of inches), trying to get himself into the small window. I would laugh but it's about to drive me crazy!!!! (and, trust me, I don't need help getting there ;-) )

I did a double take when I saw that..... In SC, a store with a big red circle (with white printing) denotes a liquor store! They are also known as the "Red & Whites". I think it dates back to when people were less literate than today, so that when somebody saw the sign, they'd know what was for sale inside. Sort of like the Barber's Pole logic... I read what Baxter said and thought "damn, Baxter, what you doing telling Mommy's secrets!?!" haha_smiley

Liquor store...
Baxter doesn't know what he is talking about...that silly cat. He was talking about Target. The sacks only have red circles on them so he doesnt know the name to the store.

We don't get many of the sacks w/ red circles... they can't hold the buckets! We thought about just having a truck back up to the front of the house and drop off a palette or two! I mean, why not? My sister has milk delivered at her house! Litter weighs SO MUCH more than milk!

Carl - it's funny to hear the differences from state to state! When I first moved here, I found several things that were sold differently than in the midwest! ...not to mention the cost of meats & dairy! I guess when you grow up 5 blocks from "America's Dairyland", you expect to find cows everywhere! Geez, I miss good cheese! One time, I planned a lunchtime event on the courthouse steps... I was about to advertise that we'd have a "brown-bag lunch". I was quickly apprised that there's a completely different meaning to "brown-baggin' it" here than other places! Ya gotta love it!

We have brown-bag lunches here, but it's a totally different meaning than brown baggin' it. ;-) Okay...so for some people it's the same thing
