I'm thinking I need to cut back the regular dose, down to maybe 1.4 or 1.2, from 1.6. She wasn't shootable this morning and came up to 300 by ambg + 10. I gave 0.8 then and by +5 from that, she was down to 170 and I gave 0.4. Note that the 0.4 was given at or past the probable nadir for the 0.8 dose which should be waning as the 0.4 unit dose starts acting.

0.8 dropped from 300 to 170, or 130 mg/dL
I'm hoping the 0.4 drops roughly half that, or not more than 65 mg/dL, though it is not a direct relationship. And there is a fresh bowl of food in the basement.

AMPS 359 1.2 units since I'll be out road-tripping with a couple of kitties going to foster.

Sounds like Gracie is liking that dose and the way you dosed her? I think that 1.2 is smart if you are not around today since she was unshootable on the 1.6U. Gosh, these numbers can make us nuts, eh? LOL...Good girl Gracie! Do what you are supposed to do with your numbers so your bean can relax! cat_pet_icon

Based on her +7 of 258, 1.2 is too low. And I think the previous non-shoot number was due to not eating, rather than responsiveness to insulin. Not getting off insulin any time soon.

Someone threw up in that part of the basement; I think it was Gracie. She may have food intolerances/allergies.

Her skin was clearing up and is has some new breakout/rash areas; I suspect the treats. I'll have to pick up some duck and pea pill pockets; I was using chicken. I'd also used a few Evo Cat & Kitten dry as treats. Ingredient checking time. I really hope its not the Friskies; if I have to go with novel canned food, its going to hit the budget because all the cats are going to want it (it would be 'special').
