Shot about +11 because I was late shooting last night. She tends to run a tad higher during the day, so I gave the full 1.2 units.

Life got a bit crazy - my 2nd car died and the housemate is without a car. As he does the litter boxes (figure out how much that costs if hired out - it has value!!!), I need to replace that car. I'll be checking on financing and candidate cars this afternoon (taking 4 hours of vacation to get started on this)

Oh yuck. The only good thing about buying a car now, instead of five years ago, is the info available online. (just saw an article on the cars used car dealers see as the worse. Suprised to see Volks Beatle, Mini Cooper and Range Rovers on their list....)

I did see a 2009 Toyota Matrix that looks possible. And 1 brother gets a discount on new Nissans, so I need to check out some of those.

Good luck on the car buying. I've been lucky, my cars have always held up well. I think I've only been stranded a couple times in my life, so that's not bad.

Haven't had a NEW car since '91, but my 'beater' gets me where I need to go. :thumbup

Well, test drove 2 cars; neither appealed. More looking to do.

I doubt I'll get anything super new - I don't need the higher insurance cost, nor the outgo on what small savings I have.

Insurance is much cheaper when you don't make payments. Mine is $152 every 6 months, liability with legal limits only. Can't afford anything else.
