First Thanks for helping me figure out the spread sheet. It'll make it easier for everyone here and for me as well don't have to worry about keeping track of the note pad i was using . Plus figured i could show the vet too. Anyways besides that Rocky seems very very hungry today. Like he was jumping on the table at lunch trying to stick his head in my box (take out) . He as always been a begger but today like he can't get enough. Could it be the extra insulin . I started his 1u AM this morning (he was getting 1U pm only) . I feed him i think about 4 cans today 1 in the am 2 split through out the day and 1 in pm. He franticly meowed at me while i was getting it ready for him and gobbled it up like he hadn't eaten in weeks. I know ppl have mentioned if he's hungry feed him but whens to much for him. He is currently under weight 7.5 lbs he should be about 10lbs.

When he's under better control, his appetite will come down (usually)....some cats are just big eaters

As long as he's underweight, I would feed him when he's hungry......most of us either get a baby scale and weigh once a week to keep track of how they're doing, or you can use a regular bathroom scale (not as accurate but it'll do!)....weigh yourself, pick up Rocky and weigh both of you together and then do the math.

This is the scale I bought for China but you can sometimes find baby scales at yard sales for next to nothing too (and there are lots of them at different prices online)

Now that you have Rocky's spreadsheet going and your signature filled in, I'd like to invite you over to the Lantus Forum

You'll get the most experienced eyes watching out for you there and if you post regularly, you'll become one of the "family" soon!

Each day we start a new thread....we call them "condos" with the Date, Cats name and AMPS number in the subject line.....as the day goes on, you "edit" the subject line to add new test numbers.....that way people who are scanning the forum can quickly see how your day is going and if they see anything that concerns them, comment sooner. If your post includes a question, add the ? prefix to your subject line.....Once your question is answered, remove it (so if you have another question, you can put it back!)

In the body of the post, you can ask any questions as well as comment how your day is going....How Rocky is feeling, how's he eating, is he Peeing, Pooping, Purring, Playing and Preening? (the 5 P's).... We call it the "Whole Cat Report".

Read other people's threads! It's one of the best things you can do! It will help you learn more as well as answer questions you may not have thought to ask....and if there's something that isn't clear to you, having several people explain it will help until it makes sense

Hope to see you over there!
