Just recently I used the command "Add 20 rows at bottom", available at the very bottom of the spreadsheet. However, any data entered into these newly added rows has no conditional formatting. It does not appear that the formatting rules (to automatically color the cells based on BG reading) present in the original rows carried over to the new ones.

Does anyone know a way to extend the formatting rules to new rows? Or do I have to setup new rules everytime I make an addition to the spreadsheet?

Look for the paint roller icon.
Select a row.
Click the paint roller.
Click an unformatted row.

Thank you for the tip. Do I have to do that row by row forever? Or is there a way to apply that to a whole group of rows at once?

It may let you paint a block of rows; try it and see.

Or, maybe highlight a block of rows, click the roller, and apply.

Ok, so I just click and paint along all of the rows that I need to apply it to at once. That appears to work. Thanks for the help everyone!

I didn't like the long trip to the bottom of the page to see the current data so I made a copy every month. It is so much easier for me, plus if I need to know something from another month I can just choose which month and click on that. Also you won't need to update and formatting. Hope this helps.
