I am posting this to hopefully give some encouragement to anyone just starting out here.
We just got back from the vet and my cat's sugar today is 110.
You are welcome to read my other posts but briefly it goes like this. She ate mostly dry food, took her in three months ago and she was at 359, put her on all Fancy Feast and it dropped to 271 in about six weeks. However, during that visit the vet wanted her on all Hills Dry - a month later her sugar was up to 491 and we were supposed to start insulin.
I did not start insulin but went with all canned food again. For about a month now she is on Evo canned only and today her glucose is 110.
You will read this a million times in this forum to stay away from any dry food and I am now a firm believer in this.
Good Luck to All of you and your kitties.
