His stomatitis is back and he has a loose tooth.....of course he's not eating much. It began yesterday & I started him on ATB's right away. All I had was Tram for pain and it made him goofy.....he just doesn't do well on Tram and metabolizes it very slowly so we are almost 24 hours since the miniscule dose (1/8 tab) I gave him and he's still stoned.
We have an appt for 11 and I'll ask for fluids and some Bupe.....who knows what they can do with the loose tooth. I don't think sedation would be good at this point.
Poor guy.....it's always something.
Update - Appt was pretty depressing. Not only was the back corner of his mouth inflamed but also the area on both sides between the gums and lips on the bottom. She suggested they pull the rest of his teeth since he only has 12 left. Well he is in no shape to do any anesthesia now so I have to wait until he gets better. My normal vet is on vacation until the 10th so I would wait until then anyway. At least I got some Bupe for him....
