i have the One Touch Ultra 2 meter and i'm looking on ebay for more strips. i found 50 for $30- is that a good price? i haven't looked in the store yet (the meter and initial strips were given to us!).

thanks!! :-D

Yes. I search through Amazon and look for the best deals also but that is a good price. I usually buy about 6 boxes at a time and make sure I never run low, especially In winter.

thanks! :-D that included shipping. i'm a well-versed ebay shopper! especially living in canada- sometimes the shipping to up here can be crazy!!

If it was me, I'd buy a ReliOn Prime at Walmart (but keep your current meter for a back-up). The meter is about $16 and the strips are only $9/50...!!! So the meter + strips would cost you about $27 with tax, which is less than the $30 you found your strips for :-D

I love my One Touch meter and used to set a limit of $33 for 100 strips (with good expiration dates) including shipping. It took a lot of patience and a lot of bidding, and was a bit of work, but it kept me in strips. I always bought more when I got down to like 200 strips in the house, because I knew it would take me awhile to get more through EBay.

Now, my beloved One Touch is my back up meter and I use the Arkray Vital that you can get through the ADW link at the top of this screen. You can get 200 strips and a meter for $44.42 and then can get 250 strips for $45.99. It works out to about 18 cents a strip, and is more livable than the 33 cents a strip I was getting on EBay for the One Touch ones. Their shipping is very reasonable and they get delivered in a few days.

That's the meter I use as my main one. I have the ReliOn Prime as a backup! And a TrueResult as a backup-backup (reads low in numbers over of about 120, but pretty accurate in numbers under about 100). Isn't the Vital the generic of the ReliOn Ultima? I always get the "buy 4, get 1 free" deal from ADW on the strips. I also get my lancets and ketostix there.

Tried ebay? I get my strips on there. Sometimes I buy it now, othertimes I bid ( if i can be bothered) from reputable vendors. Watch the expiry dates though.

$30 for 50 is a great price for the Ultra Blue test strips! I use the same tester and buy the box of 100 strips at Costco for $74 plus tax (which is way cheaper than Rexall or Shoppers). Go with Ebay if the seller has good feedback and the expiry date is far away. Make sure that you don't need them right away because shipping from the US may take longer and get stuck in customs.
