cat(2)_steam GOODMORNING..... I apologize for taking so very long to give you an update on GRAMPS.....

I have to say that without all your input and advice, I would still be pulling my hair out!!!! Lol

Gramps is a trooper..... He has had to go to my vet 3 times and goes back again on the 23rd, I believe...
(exact date escapes me). For a test, that I cannot remember the name. But anyhow.... Gramps has ome such a long ways, and he is doing so much better than when I first took him in from Brookfield Animal Hospital.

I became seriously concerned because he was drinking and PEEING an awful lot, and seemed to be lethargic and not getting up for attention, like most cats. We had him on 5 units per BAH instructions.... Well, he seemed to still have very high BG numbers... ( 350 to 600) most of the time. And the only time it came down was if he didn't eat much.

I got him rt into the vet and she stated before dental surgery we needed to get him regulated.... WE up him to 6 units of Prozinx.... And fed only wetfood 4 to 5 times a day, since we took him OFF wetfood. WE would test his BG after a week on 6 units and his BG came DOWN.... not a whole lot but he was in the 400's instead of 500,s.... We continued the 6 units, waited a week and tested him every 6 hours.... After he ate.... Since being on a steady amount of insulin, his numbers are NOW in the 150 to 200..... WE are keeping an eye on his numbers and seems to be much more lively than ever. I guess he is finally feeling better.... He eats well, walks about the apartment and isn't scared of the cats any longer and all seem to have finally excepted him... he rubs and gives kisses.... No fights and no hissing.... He seems to be a very happy kitty FINALLY.....

We hope to have him get his teeth pulled at the end of June.... So please if you can spare a few dollars to help this happen, go to his blog, where DCIN has a chip in going.... I still have $100 from my chip in from a while back.... It will cost between 150 to $200 for dental.... So I believe his DCIN chip in only needs $50.

Thank you ALL for your kindness!!!
Give your kitties kisses for me!!!!
TRacy. Hugs....:0) confused_cat
