Good morning! I just had a question about Chelsea's SS... Her numbers are phenomenal.... I am really not sure what is going on. Out of the possible 17 shots of insulin she should have had, she has only received 6. She is acting completely normal, eating normally, urinating normally, talking normally, cuddling, everything.. Is there something that is trying to trick me with this feline diabetes??? Am I missing something??? Her regular vet is out for vacation, so I amanita sure who I am going to end up speaking with if/when I call. I wanted to hear the opinions of you guys first. Many thanks! I am off to work now, so I won't be able to respond for some time. Thank you for your help in advance... <3

Hi Kristina,

Well, wow!
It's looking as though Chelsea may be wanting to come off insulin....(touch wood/anti jinx)

Did you switch her diet to lower carb? If so, then maybe that (coupled with a wee bit of insulin) tipped the balance, especially given that her numbers don't seem to have been that high to begin with (except at the vets.......)

Keeping fingers and paws crossed for her to become diet-controlled. :cat:
Go, Chelsea!!!

I just got home and checked her BEFORE I fed her and she was 109 (119 this morning before I fed her and left). She is definitely on a better diet (low carb, high protein). Larry and Kitties, I think I will check in between feedings, but I have to wait until Saturday. Thank you so much for your replies and input! I will definitely keep everyone updated... I was just hoping that I wasn't doing something wrong (eek). Love and light to you both and your kitties! :)
