Bob's orinch buddy is Mullet. He was an orphan left in a peach basket on the steps of a church when he was about three or four weeks old. We were asked to foster him, just until he was weaned. This is him, about 13 years later. I guess he was never weaned!

What a beautiful picture. What are the cats looking at? Both seem fascinated by something but the door looks like there is no window. Are they waiting for breakfast inside?

Mullet is staring at the door for two reasons. One, because he's purposely ignoring Bob, and two, because he knows that if he stares long enough it will open. I think he thinks he has telekenitic powers. Bob is looking at Mullet while trying to rub on the door frame, because he eubs on everything when he thinks he's getting food. He's also trying to suck up to me by doing his rendition of "but I'm being cute, dad!"
I had just come home from work and in their minds, when dad gets home it's treat time! This is the standard routine. Bob sucks up, Mullet ignores, dad is the hero. Behind door number one is the food chamber. Mullet won't.play suck up. Food is his birthright. Bob performs for food. He sees it as payback. Funny thing is, if either of them would headbutt the door it'd swing wide open! Maybe they do know that, but like to make me feel necessary.
