Going to Walmart

We use relion prime to test.

I'm ashamed to admit we've never home tested for ketones, but I know lots of people use ketostix. Not sure if walmart carries them. I haven't seen that brand at mine.

Relion Premier Voice is the newer model and it's just few bucks more than the Prime, the strips are the same low price, and it has a lot of cool features.

My vet was surprised how close it read to her pet meter in the office the other day, it announces the test result so I get to know what it is without having to look while I'm cuddling and stopping the bleeding on his ear so he can be done with it lol, it also tracks averages over time like it will tell you what the average results were for the last day, week, two weeks, month, etc. Its nice to see easily if their averages are going down or staying the same.

Walmart (at least the one here) carries ReliOn ketone test strips ($6.69 here for 50), right next to the rest of the diabetic items (the meters, the strips, the lancets, etc)

ReLion Prime, at Walmart. In the US, all human meters have to meet US government standards re accuracy, so they're all fine for that. M'row's Relion Prime agreed with the vet's lab, and has survived falling on our hard floor so many times that I'm ashamed to talk about it. I got a second one for his hypo box, and the two meters agreed with each other fine. And repeat tests also agree fine. So for us, it gets five purrs and zero hisses!

Relion meter/strips and if I recall the ketone brand is also Relion. I prefer to use the 2 in 1 lancets if you haven't been advised on that yet. (I'm posting a pic.... Probably bottom self, blue box) Don't be alarmed ... If you go through self check out it will require an attendant. Since all those product are medical testing they are non-refundable and the attendant has to put their employee number in.
