giving shot and how many times can you use the syringe

so many of you helped me out when my little beeber was so sick. she is doing good but i'm having trouble giving the insulin shot and not hurting her. where is the best place to give it. also, how many times can you reuse the syringe or should you use a new one EVERY time you give the insulin?

Someone posted pictures of how corrupted the syringe is after one shot, so the general advice is to use a new syringe every time.

How are Beeber's numbers?

Insulin syringes can only be used once. The needle gets dull after one use. Reusing the insulin syringe a second time may cause discomfort, not to mention introducing bacteria into the sterile insulin bottle or pen.

wow...what a difference. i'm sure the reuse is causing her discomfort and i will be sure to only use once.

her #'s are around 225 - 250 before shot time. much better and not as erratic as they had been.
