Hi everyone,
I need some help - Simba is becoming extremely picky with his food and it's becoming extremely expensive - we've tried a variety of foods from Weruva, lovibles, fancy feast, friskies, wellness, Merrick, performatrin, BFF, etc. He used to eat super willingly and was mildly picky, now it's a chore to get him to finish his breakfast and dinner and we're wasting cans of food left and right

He can't have any seafood as he vomits immediately after eating it and gets diarrhea - always has been sensitive to seafood, only one he can tolerate is tuna.
He's currently only wanting to eat the Friskies Chefs dinner, Tuna dinner and occasionally will eat the fancy feast beef and tuna. I want to make sure he's getting a decent food and that I'm not constantly having to throw out a can because he won't eat it.
Any suggestions or anything??
I'm at my wits end

I have a fussy boy too he only eats Fancy Feast Trout and Lovibles Salmon Pate. I keep trying to feed him something healthier but he is not interested. Sometimes he doesn't want to eat much. It is very frustrating. He actually really loved Stella and Chewys freeze dried chicken, I would put some on his canned food to get him to eat. But I eventually realized it makes him vomit.:arghh:

Have you tried the suggestions here.

I sprinkle fortiflora and sometimes even bonito flakes on his food. And I shove his treats right into his wet food. That gets him to at least try a bit if the food:rolleyes:. Also heating the food up in the microwave for a few seconds sometimes helps.

My cat is also quite fussy and vomits very easily and has settled on eating Wellness Tiny Tasters Chicken, and Chicken and Turkey, which are quite low in carbs, and come in tiny little packets, so there is hardly any waste (the plain chicken has the lowest carbs of all the flavors). I do have to mix in a little extra hot water and carefully chop and then blend it until smooth as it comes out of the packet in an unappealing glob that is below his standards. They are expensive, but the no waste aspect is nice. I just open a new packet when the master strolls by and I think I might appeal to him whims. https://www.chewy.com/wellness-core-tiny-tasters-chicken/dp/182081
He also is eating Fromm chicken and duck pate. The down side is that it is insanely expensive and only comes in 5.5oz cans. It does store well in the fridge though and he doesn't mind eating it cold so long as I add enough hot water and blend it to turn it into cold soup. https://www.petflow.com/product/fro...in-free-duck-and-chicken-pate-canned-cat-food
