Hope I got the math right this time....

I contemplated giving him a full dose and just doing +14 tonight as with Lev's shed affect you would think it would be fine.

Tomorrow AM I will get a +10 check then see what BG is when I need to shoot (+10.75). If it's gone up or is stable, I will probably stay with full dose. I am completely scared of ruining this progress.

No wonder it took so long to get back these great numbers - his old dose was 1.4U but seemed like too much. And it was, as 1.3U was the key which finally turned the tumblers in to place. That and better timing.

Math looks good

Paws crossed that with the right dose it won't take as long to get back to good numbers.

When does your vacation start? At least you should be able to get him on schedule for the week - you ARE going to revolve your whole week around him right?

LOL, unfortunately, no. In fact I have to leave him again like I did for the concert because a couple friends and I are meeting in Chicago to see a comedy show. That won't be until the 6th, so he will have 7 days of regular shots before that. I only have to get up before 8 AM every day....

second split 102 ~ .65U

I will try to record shot times on spreadsheet now too. Will be meter times, but I usually give the shot within 2 minutes, as long as it takes me to draw and measure it.

I am beginning to believe the shot time consistency is a bigger factor for him. 15 minutes one way or another shouldn't matter, but it's when those 15 minutes here or there becomes 30 or 45 minutes in a couple days time that mess things up.

I was looking at his beginning spreadsheet from right after I took him to U of I when the vet there told me the times needed to be more consistent and to stop using R that his numbers greatly improved. I did not realize how lousy my shot times were until I started really trying to hit the hour exactly this week.

here are last week's times beginning PM on the 16th:
8:19PM
8:00AM
8:12 PM
8:09 AM
8:04 PM
8:23 AM
8:36 PM
8:38 AM 5.20 when I had to do splits

This week:
8:04PM 5.23
8:02AM
8:06PM
7:55AM
8:00PM
8:00AM
8:02PM
8:09AM
8:02 PM
8:03AM today

Much tighter. Will I start bugging people about their shot times? Maybe. Simply because I didn't think I was doing badly at it, but I wasn't "watching the clock." This week I started doing that and look what happened. Yes, dose plays a part too, but I can't ignore how small both changes were but what a big difference they have made.

Well, my times are looking like yours did last week - but a lot better than the last 3 weeks with my aunt in the hospital/nursing home and visiting her after work. I would not have thought it could make that much difference. I'll have to make some effort to get tighter times with Jeddie and see what happens.

PMPS 171 ~ 1.3U

Shot at 10PM on the dot. After futzing with my meter! Does anyone know why my stupid Aviva says the battery is dying/dead when I take it out and put it in the other Aviva and it works fine???? I lost a whole 5 minutes while trying to make it work because all Gandalf's numbers are in that one and to not get a test on it messes up the periodic averages. Argh!!!!
