This AM he received split doses at +10.5 and +11.5. Not too bad tonight.

We have both dental and acupuncture this week, but not the same day. Usual plan is to give half dose in the AM (I just realized I have to get his shot time back another hour because we're supposed to be there Tuesday at 7:30AM.) and no food. You're also not supposed to give after 10PM, but I know how short their digestive tract is, so I usually allow him his nightly 1AM meal. They usually don't get around to the procedures until 10AM or so.

Good luck with the dental. Gosh, I hate "fasting" cats, they never know why you are doing it and just think you are torturing them.

Good luck with the dental Vicky. I am sure everything will be fine. It will be nice to get this out of the way since it was canceled last week.

Oh boy - tomorrow's Dental Day!! Happy Dental Day Gman!!

I agree with you about the 1 am feeding. My vet said the later feeding is fine and that even though the cats are brought in so early in the morning, anesthesia and surgery is not for some time. A lot of the 'rules' just don't apply to our sugar babies.

Will be thinking about you guys tomorrow. Are you anticipating extractions? What pain med will you be asking for to bring home? Bupe? Oral or with syringes to inject?

My vet has never extracted a single tooth from any of my cats. And I ask that they call me first if she's sees the need. I trust her on this, but they are not "pull-happy."

And thanks for the well wishes. I really wish he didn't need it.
