FVRCP for Joey?

Joey - 14 - neutered male -- OTJ since last October. Vet keeps sending reminders for FVRCP. He had a 3 yr. rabies last Sept.
How important is this shot? He hates to go and I'm also afraid they'll bug me to do a blood curve. I am doing ok with home testing.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Now that it's summer, he will NOT step foot outside - he has to see an open door into the house or won't venture out.
 
My kitties are all twelve. I stopped all but 3 year rabies about 6 years ago. One of my daughters cats had a bad reaction and we decided that our totally inside cats did not need other shots. I just tell them NO thanks. I would do the same for curve. If you keep a spread sheet, take it as back up. My vets have called a few times and I just tell them Maisey is doing fine and has be OTJ (off the juice) two months. I randomly still check, more for my peace of mind than anything else and I put the numbers in my spreadsheet. You know you are doing well, and the vet is actually your employee when you go there, so you have the right to say no, just like for you or any other family member when at the Doctors or Hospital.
