When it obvious that a fur shot was given is there any recommendations for how high is to high before I adjust our dosing schedule? I know it is advised to not reshoot but today's numbers were scary. I thought I gave a partial fur shot this morning and did not have a vehicle to come home earlier than the time for our regularly scheduled dose. My son got home at 8 hours after our am shot and Spike was already at 571. By the time I got home tonight Spike was at 601.

With ProZinc, you can shoot early ... if you are absolutely positive the high numbers are due to a fur shot and not bouncing from going low overnight.

I am sure the numbers yesterday were due to a fur shot. Unfortunately I have been really frustrated with the numbers on most other days. His vet says we are doing good but I don't see it yet.

I think you may be having a duration issue. If you look at April 18, daytime, from +11 to pre-shot, he zoomed almost 200 mg/dL. Your options are shooting TID (every 8 hours), or switching insulin (BCP PZI, Lantus, or Levemir). it is possible for your vet to get a sample of the PZI with this form.

He is bouncing too.
