I'm pretty sure I gave Ang at least a partial fur shot last night, and am paranoid I may have done the same this morning. Better that, than him needing more insulin, I guess.

How long will it take his numbers to settle down.

If you have a look at his ss, (I'll post here in US numbers) he's gone 'in the red' again pre shot. As he's on caninsulin I gave him his pmps and his shot an hour early just now.

He sooo did not want his shot tonight, usually he is so placid too. Plus they'd run out of freeze dried chicken treats in the supermarket (got some on order) so I got him the whitefish ones and he won't touch them (much to civvie Cera's delight!) I'll see if Lianna likes them.

Oh well, main thing is he's doing better than I am, I've been coughing up acid at least once a day since Friday!! I'm going to ditch the ppi's and try ranitidene (zantac) instead. huh, he's extra sweet and it seems like I'm extra sour!! Taking Angel over to my friend Julie on Wed, (she is a registered nurse) as I'm away for a few days.

Since Caninsulin is an "in-and-out" insulin and wears off by 8-12 hours, he should be minimally affected. You'll most likely see a higher pre-shot the next cycle but he should start coming back down again fairly quickly. "Fur shots happen!"

thanks for the info, by the way I just checked out both your cats profiles, they are adorable.

Hope I can get Angel back to at least in the pink numbers soon. There's a good chance after the 14th he will be on Lantus or PZI.
