Fur shots happen and they're annoying. You don't know how much went in and it is quite tempting to give another dose. If you give another dose, you could hypo your cat.

For safety's sake, don't do it. Yes, your cat may be higher for a bit. Better too high for a day, than too low for a moment. Hypoglycemia can kill quickly or leave your cat with brain damage.

Under special circumstances, such as a high dose cat (ex acromegaly), and or one prone to diabetic ketoacidosis, you might, extremely carefully, use a short-acting insulin (regular, aka R) in addition to the Lantus. Should this situation arise for you, several folks in the TR forum have had to do this and a post there can get you some support if you need to do this for your cat.
