Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Sturgeon Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Sturgeon Moons past:

Appetizers: Moon Microbrews; Moontinis and other delicious cocktails; Caviar on Nip Crackers; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas with Green Cheese; Egg Rolls; Sushi Bar with the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux and featuring Chef Neko's fabulous sushi rolls.

Entrees: Sturgeon Chowder; Shad Roe; Grilled Lake Trout; Flying Squirrel Kabobs; Michigans (red hotdogs with meat sauce--a Northern NY specialty); Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili with Fresh Moonberry Salsa; Mousehead Stew (fresh-caught mousies: come early to help hunt); Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo.

Salads: Butthead's & Donny's Adirondack Field Greens; Moonshine Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Moon Pies; Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Wild Blueberries; Tobey's Cimmamoon Cookies; Moondrop Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; KitKat’s Duck pate stuffed cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. Hit the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut for Bella's specialties, including catinis and sardine smoothies

The Taster Blankets have been set up just a little away from the hustle and bustle, and we’ll find you a spot on them where you can enjoy the pawty in comfort if you’re not feeling up to dancing. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Kitchen Liaison Roxi will make sure the quality of the food is everything you hope for.

Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” are already getting warmed up ready to dance the night away. They manage to come up with new and challenging routines every time to entertain you all. They’d love to have you join in and dance with them. Maybe you can teach them your favorite moves too!

It’s time to get this party started! Head on over and join us for a day and night of fun!

And, as always, we have our new aprons to wear.

Chef Luna

Another month and another full moon, we're lucky this month to have two full moons, the circle of remembrance twice this month. The moon was bright and beautiful on Saturday night. I always think of my Molly, her and I would look at the full moon together, every month.
It's been 6 months now, and although I'm alot better. I still look forward to the full moon party on here. Mom and dad still love miss you baby girl.

We are very lucky this month. And in between the 2 full moons is the peak of the Perseids meteor shower at the exact time the sky is darkest - I always like to spot shooting stars and think of my girls, just as I do at the full moon. So, for me, there are 3 opportunities to spend time thinking of my girls this month. I don't think we ever "get over" our losses - we simply learn to live with them a little better. And we'll all miss our special loved ones for the rest of our lives. But I would take the pain of the losses over and over again because it means I got the love for those years too - I'm sure you feel the same about sweet Molly.

Beautiful apron and a sumptuous menu! Kitties will be spoiled !

Tonight, almost 3 years ago my "big potato", Peanut 3 yo, was killed by a car in front of the house; it seems to me like yesterday... ; and in a few days, my sweet lovely Ti-Mousse, 9yo, will be gone since 7 months.... I hate the beginning of each month and I miss them as much as the first day !!!

As for my little Juliette, she's in another world and all set to go dancing..:) Of course, she didn't eat much today knowing what was coming up tonight :-)
She promised to be with me for the Circle of Remembrance to see our precious loved ones who left us too early!
Thanks for this wonderful evening! :bighug::bighug:

I'm so very sorry - losses to the road are so cruel and so often happen to very young cats. Peanut and Ti-Mousse were both far too young to leave you. July and August are not my best months either - we lost Rosa in August of 2016 and Regan in July of 2018. And even though it's been several years, in some ways it still feels like yesterday. So I really do understand.

The kitties are all looking forward to seeing Juliette again - she's such a pretty little girl, she was quite the hit with all the boys at the last party! But I know our kitties like to share the Circle of Remembrance with us - they know how much we hurt even if they don't let us see that they know.

I'm so very happy to be able to create these parties for us all - I relied on them long before I was ever involved in them because they marked a day to remember. I love being able to pay that forward for anyone who wants and needs that special time. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I missed the last two moon parties:eek:, but of course my kitties were there. And they were so excited about tonight's party, even my little 21-year-old Whiskey who mostly stays by the Taster Blankets these days. She thinks Kitchen Liaison Roxi and Chef Luna are very nice young ladies who understand that a tiny elderly orange girl needs lots of snacks and who don't get offended when Whiskey, who is deaf, yells, "Snacks! Snacks! Snacks! Now!" just like at home.

After our three-legged foster kitty finally convalesced enough following his amputation (from being shot:mad:) to be adopted, the shelter surprised me by asking that we keep him. He's a real handful, but so cheerful and loving. He hopes he'll get to dance with Juliette tonight. He loves to dance and sing.

Now our current foster is a momma cat who had her four babies here almost four weeks ago. They've passed through the Ewok stage and are just finishing the teddy bear stage and starting to look like real kittens. I'm not supposed to post photos of them before they're ready for adoption, but I assure you that they're cute.

Thinking of my GAs tonight and of the many FDMB GAs I also knew and loved.:bighug:

Gather round kitties...and beans - all are welcome to the most special moments of the Full Moon Pawty. The veil is thinning and the Bridge kitties are coming into view as we celebrate the Circle of Remembrance. The moon is so bright in a clear sky - and if we're very lucky we might catch a glimpse of the aurora too tonight. Soon our singing and dancing will resume and continue until dawn. But for now, let's take the time to celebrate all of our precious GAs while they pawty alongside us. ~Chef Luna

Roxi and Luna will make sure Whiskey has all the snacks she needs - they're always happy to have kitties enjoy their snacks. And asking for more is the best compliment the Kitchen Krew could have!

I'm not even a little surprised - I can't imagine a better forever home for your sweet foster boy. The shelter clearly know that you will provide for his every need purrfectly. He's been through a lot and a great home with you is exactly what he needs. :bighug:

Gotta love those tiny babies. So much fun watching them grow.

There are so many. It's the difficult part of a group like this - being part of the group is amazing, but we get so invested in the lives of all the members' cats that we hurt with every loss. Tonight, and every full moon, we get to remember them all.
