Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Flower Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Flower Moons past:

Appetizers: Floral Microbrews; Dandelion Wine; Snapdragon Niptinis; Marigold Dip on Nip Crackers; Clover-fed Buffalo Wings in Pineapple Sage Dressing; Grilled Jumbo Shrimp with Apple Blossoms; Crispy Mouse Heads with Hibiscus Sauce; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Sushi Bar featuring the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux as well as Chef Neko's fabulous Sushi Rolls.

Entrees: Honeysuckle Chicken Casserole; Turkey Roll-ups with Sunflower Seeds; Chef Mannie’s Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Nip Mayo and garnished with Squash Flowers; BigMac’s Burger Extravaganza with The Works and Special Marigold Mustard; Sushi Chef Tux's Seared Ahi Tuna with Lavender Pepper Crust; Chef Rusty’s Thunderin’ Bison Chili with Fresh Salsa; Grilled Hotdogs.

Salads: Butthead’s & Donny’s Field Greens with Linden blossoms; Confetti Slaw; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Maggie’s Signature Cheesecakes with Candied Violets; Rose Petal Ice cream with Hibiscus Flower Coulee à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Tobey’s Cimmamum Cookies; Surprise Flower Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Chef Stu’s World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.

Not feeling up to pawtying and dancing? Head on over to the Taster Blankets, including Olive’s Memorial Blanket, which will be set up away from the noise and too much activity for you. Roxi will be running notes back to me and the Kitchen Krew to make sure the food is as good as can be. The blankets have a great view of the Circle of Remembrance too, and all the other kitties will join you at midnight as the veil thins to see all our precious Gone Ahead kitties. It is always so magical to see our friends and family on the other side of the veil. We have a newcomer from our own family at the Bridge this Full Moon, with Licorice having joined Rosa, Regan and all the other GA kitties just a few weeks ago.

Our very own in-house dance troupe, “Ruby and the Kittens” are already getting warmed up ready to dance the night away. They’d love to have you join them as soon as you’re ready to start pawtying!

DJ Molly will be playing all your favorite music and is ready to take requests for anything you want to hear.

So find your best outfits and come join the pawty. We’re going to have so much fun!

Check out our new aprons too! Aren’t they awesome?

Chef Luna

Yo Chef Luna, This is one spectacular feast! I just had a "lion cut" and lost all of my long hair (which was full of unsightly mats). I look great and can't wait to "trip the light fantastic" with all those lovely lady kitties. I gave away all of my fur in exchange for a wreath of spring flowers around my neck. Come dance with me!

And very handsome you look, Gus. Any of the ladies would be honored to dance with you! ~Chef Luna

Those might be the prettiest aprons yet! And the tables must be beautiful, too, with all those flower-themed dishes.

Oh, Chef Luna, I'm so sorry for the loss to your family of Licorice. Your momma needs lots of extra purrs. :bighug:April:bighug:

Gus, you must look glorious! I hope your momma is fully recovered from covid now. Sounds like she's a partier just like you are.;)

Kitties, it's time for the Circle of Remembrance. Our favorite part of every Full Moon pawty when we get to see our precious GAs beyond the veil, pawtying alongside us at the Bridge. The Bridge kitchen will be taking a break, as our kitchen is here, for us to take the time to spend precious moments with our loved ones. Soon, our pawty will resume and we'll dance and feast until dawn. But now, quiet the music and hold the dancing for a short time and gather around to get a great view of the Bridge kitties. ~Chef Luna

Thank you. Hers was one of the most unexpected losses - she'd always seemed very healthy both to us and our vet and was only 9 years old. Unknown to anyone, she had a tumor that they believe started in her pancreas and grew to involve her liver, gall bladder, bile ducts and pylorus. She showed no symptoms until she became unable to eat just 4 days before we had to let her go after finding out the extent of the issue and learning from the oncology surgeon that there was nothing they could do to buy her any time at all.

Oh, gosh, that's so hard. I'm glad she didn't suffer long, but I know you're suffering awfully.:bighug:

We are, but I do take some comfort in the fact that she was completely herself up until those last few days. The day before she was first symptomatic, she pulled her usual trick of dashing out the front door to catch her own dinner (she'd lived in a house where she wasn't fed regularly before we rescued her and always preferred to hunt her own food). So I know she was happy and not hurting at that point. It was harder for us, but I think better for her as she loved her freedom so much. She would have hated to have to be indoors all the time, being medicated several times a day.
