Yo cats and kittens of all ages

It’s time for everyone to gather together for the full moon pawty! Tonight, we celebrate the full Beaver Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Felix, Chef Rusty, and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Beavers Moons past:

Appetizers: Moon Microbrews; Moontinis; Pumpkin Soup; Cimmamum-spiced Beaver Chews; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas; Sushi Bar featuring the specialties of Sushi Chef Tux as well as Chef Neko's fabulous Sushi rolls made with Beaver River Fish.

Entrees: Big Moose Chili; Campfire-Roasted Chicken with Catnip Glaze; Grilled Beaver River Rainbow Trout; Grilled Wild Turkey Sausage with Rosemary and Goat Cheese; Michigans (hotdogs) with the Chef's Special Sauce.

Salads: Beaver River Slaw with Maple Sap; Butthead's and Donny's marinated Adirondack Field Greens; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers.

Desserts: Maggie's Signature Pumpkin Cheesecake with Maple Syrup; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; Cranberry-Apple Pies à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Riverbank Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie.

Newer traditions include Bubba's MouseMousse; Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan; KitKat’s Duck pate stuffed cupcakes with catnip icing, served at mousie temperature. You’ll find Bella’s catinis at the Bella Memorial Tiki Hut.

Don’t worry if you’re not feeling up to dancing all night! The Taster Blankets are set up and ready for you to relax on. They're the purrfect place to view the Circle of Remembrance at midnight, when the veil thins and we can purrceive our loved ones who have Gone Ahead partying with us. Olive’s Memorial Blanket can be found here too. Kitchen Liaison Roxi is ready for your feedback for the Krew as well as bringing you whatever food you would like to try.

“Ruby and the Kittens” are ready to entertain you and help you dance the night away. They’ve been practicing new moves since the last pawty – I think they’re getting ready for Christmas already! Come and join them on the dance floor and show them your best moves too!

So head on over and let’s get this pawty started!

Check out our new aprons too – aren’t they fun?

Chef Luna

Beautiful apron and sumptuous menu as usual !!

Juliette is not sure if she'll go this time, she's very very sad! Her best friend Pépé who used to take her to the pawty left us 2 weeks ago....
he was at the end of his little road. In less than a year, I lost my 2 sugar kitties :(

Hopefully Juliette will change her mind; I told her she might see both, Pépé and Ti-Mousse, at the Circle of Remembrance tonight.

I'm so, so sorry to hear your sad news. It's so very hard to lose one, and 2 in less than a year is just brutal. Please know that they had much longer with you because of your dedicated care for them. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Juliette, we would be happy to take care of you at the pawty. Maybe you'd like to hang out on the Taster Blankets. Roxi will bring you whatever food you would like. And you'll be able to see your sweet friends at the Circle of Remembrance. You don't need to be in the mood for dancing to come to the pawty. ~Chef Luna

Cats really are amazing. I hope it will bring Juliette and you some comfort that she can still see her friends at the Circle of Remembrance. Roxi is very happy to help - she took on the Taster Blanket/kitchen liaison to make sure every cat gets to see their GA friends, even if they don't feel like partying. :bighug:

What perfect aprons, Chef Luna! You run such an elegant kitchen.

My kitties were excited for the very important Halloween party to especially celebrate our own GAs and other GA friends. It was a big day, also when I took our four foster kittens in to the shelter. As I was saying goodbye, I got a call to meet my mom at the ER; turns out she'd broken a hip. She finally got home to her kitty late last week.

Meanwhile, one of own kitties was fading away. I was syringe feeding her when I could be home, but we ended up saying goodbye to her last Friday. She was my beloved's before I moved here and she and her daughter, whom he'd adopted together, have always been very skittish. But she became affectionate during her final illness; she quickly learned to tolerate her syringe feedings and seemed to like the attention and how they made her feel better, but it just wasn't enough.:( She was a 16-year-old little orange girl.

I'm so sad to see you've also had another loss, Lyane:bighug::bighug::bighug: @Ti-Mousse (GA) Pepe (GA)
Ivan is a young guy who doesn't quite have the tact and grace that Roxi has in a situation like this, but he's a good boy and hopes Juliette knows that he will be nearby to assist or comfort her if there's anything he can do to help.

Kitties - it's time! Time for the most special part of our Full Moon pawties. It's time for the Circle of Remembrance. Gather round everyone to watch for the first glimpse of the kitties at the Bridge pawtying alongside us. Juliette - stick with Roxi. She knows the very best place for you to get the best view of your beloved friends. Soon, we will resume our pawty and we will dance and feast until dawn. But for now, let's make the most of these precious minutes with our beloved GAs. ~Chef Luna

I'm so sorry Susan - it sounds as though you've had a very difficult month. I'm glad to hear your mom is now home with her kitty, but so sad to hear you lost one of your own special cats. She lived her best life because she had you by her side taking care of her all the way to her last moments.

Roxi reported in to say that Ivan has been a great help to her and Juliette tonight. She says Juliette is doing well and was looking forward very much to seeing Ti-Mousse and Pepe at the Circle of Remembrance.

So sorry, Lyane. The loss of a special needs cat always feels bigger. :bighug:
Some nights, I still feel that there is something I should be doing at 9 p.m.

So sorry, Susan (and beloved). You did everything you could. That you got to see a hidden side of her was a gift. :bighug:
