Frodo went OTJ 8/9/15. Spot checking since then. He seems to hit higher BG in the a.m., and I think that it’s creeping up. But so far it’s always come down later in the day. But not quite so far as a couple of months ago.
We did have an incident 10/13 where he definitely got at some kibble the night before - BG 251 in the morning, but we kept on monitoring and it was down to 69 by 6 p.m. Most mornings he seems to be in the 120-140 range. And it comes down (mostly 70-90 range by pm time). Would be nice if it were lower, but I don’t think it’s been high enough to cause organ damage.
Is this a relapse, or at what point do we declare it as such and restart insulin? Advice, please. I’ve put his BG numbers on his spreadsheet - obviously we haven’t tested every day (Although we’re doing it more frequently lately).
Frodo also has some kidney issues, and he may also be hyperthyroid. - T4 not conclusive and we’re going to retest in another couple of weeks.
