Frodo - 11:20am - 45 CONCERNED

We are doing periodic testing on Frodo. He has been off insulin and has been testing between 70-100. We just tested and he is at 45. We gave him some honey and Fancy Feast with Gravy. Would like your support and direction. Thank you.
 
He can't go hypo if he's not on insulin. It's not uncommon for cats to run that low or even a little bit lower. Good to see Frodo is doing so well!!
 
That's a relief. And yes, we are thrilled he is doing well! This is all so new so we are treading carefully. He has tons more energy which is a delight to see.

I'm so glad for a Frodo update, and that's a beautiful number for a kitty not on insulin. :mrgreen: Jersey often gives me 30s and 40s in now that she's in remission. In the beginning, it was hard not to panic when I saw those numbers, especially after it had been drilled into my head that "under 50 = bad" when we were on insulin. It took a while to change my thinking once we went off the insulin. ohmygod_smile
