Although it's not here quite yet, it's definitely in the air (at least where I'm at). And it's never to soon to start thinking about fall decorations! ;-)

1. What is your favorite part about autumn?
2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween?
3. Candy corn: yum or yuck?
4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year?
5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not?

1. What is your favorite part about autumn? The turning of the leaves and the smell of bon fires!!!

2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween? I decorate the inside of the house for fall when I pull out the Halloween decos, Deco inside and out for Halloween. Then switch to Thanksgiving decos and of course, Christmas!!!

3. Candy corn: yum or yuck? Mostly YUCK! occasionally I pop one in my mouth just to remember why I don't like it.

4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year? I like the big sweaters and jeans and Sweat shirts.

5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not? Oh, yes, I still get tempted, but I don't do it...why??? Because I have a fear that I won't be able to get back up again, lolol!! Really, tho, I get much more enjoyment watching my nieces and nephews jump in!

1. When it's still warm (70s) during the day but cool at night. That's the best weather for bonfires and for sitting outside and not getting eaten alive by bugs. I also like when the leaves start to fall and they crunch when you walk through them. I love that sound.
2. I decorate both the inside and the outside for fall, but not as much for Halloween. I have a fireplace with a great mantel, and it's awesome to decorate.
3. I love candy corn, but in VERY limited quantities. Like, 5 pieces and then it's too much. So sweet!
4. I look forward to getting out my fall wardrobe for sure. I really really love flip flop weather but there's just something about thick sweaters and boots...
5. I am tempted but I don't do it because I've just spent all that time raking and I don't want to mess it up. Plus I hate bugs getting in my hair and don't want to risk it. Yeah, I was way cooler as a kid.

ohmygod_smile Wow, I think that's the most Debbie Downer response I've given. Sorry. Super good to have a FF reunion though!!!

Do you also stand in your doorway and yell at kids to get off your lawn? I'm just kidding! It's great to see you back.

1. What is your favorite part about autumn?

probably i'd have to say kids going back to school and not being outside screaming and yelling and making waaaaaaay too much noise on the weekends. sorry, but i've never been too big a fan of kids so when the noise ceases, it's really noticeable to me. LOL!!

2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween?

nope, not unless you call lighting more candles decorating?

3. Candy corn: yum or yuck?

yum to a degree. a few at a time and that's it.

4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year?

absolutely not. autumn means winter is 'round the corner and cold weather sucks! i'd much prefer t-shirts, jeans, and bare feet all year and that's the way it would be if it were up to me. 80-90 degree weather is perfecto!

5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not

actually it's never really crossed my mind since having my own yard. LOL!! it's just one of those chores i do i guess. or i should say, fiance does it mostly.

1. What is your favorite part about autumn? The colors and the crisp air.

2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween? NO, but wish I could.

3. Candy corn: yum or yuck? Yuck!

4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year? Loooooove big thick sweatshirts and soft broken in jeans sitting in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and . . . . . .

5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not? Jump in and roll around with my granddaugher.

Welcome back Sarah!!! YYYYYYAAAAAAYYYYYYY

1. What is your favorite part about autumn?
Pretty leaves. (ok, we don't actually have any here, but I still remember them!)

2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween?
Fall - no, never even thought of that! Halloween - no, I'm boring. :?

3. Candy corn: yum or yuck?
YYYYUUUUMMMM. In a disgusting kind of way. But still YUM!

4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year?
Well, here in CA it's pretty much always flip flop weather. :) I do like the brisk weather more than baking hot, but if it's ever cold enough to require a big sweater... well, it must be time to move further south!

5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not?
Leaves? There are about 3 here per square mile, lol. Back when I was East though, yes tempted, no in reality - bugs, dirt, would have to change afterwards, etc., etc. Being an adult bites. ohmygod_smile

YAY, even Cindy came back for the reunion, woohoo!!!! It's a regular party. party_cat

I don't know what a yum yuck is but it sounds kind of yucky

The ROTFLMAO factor on this one totally makes up for the Debbie Downer taint!

1. What is your favorite part about autumn? Weather getting cooler, leaves changing.

2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween? No

3. Candy corn: yum or yuck? yum in small quanities

4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year? sweaters if they are all cotton, wooly itches. With flip flops

5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not? Well usually I will wait for the leaves to blow away. If they do no--mow them over. I wouldn't jump in a pile of leaves because they are probably dirty and I'd hurt myself LOLOL

1. What is your favorite part about autumn? Cooler weather, the leaves changing color...I live in one of the most gorgeous places there is for fall color!
2. Do you decorate the inside and/or outside of your house for fall? What about for Halloween? No for fall, yes for Halloween! DH is big on Halloween, he loves to decorate for it!
3. Candy corn: yum or yuck? Yum...in moderation!
4. Do you look forward to wearing big sweaters and cozy jeans, or do you wish flip flop weather would stick around all year? I do look forward to the big sweaters and cozy jeans, but I also love flip flop weather. I love the change of seasons, it makes me appreciate each of them.
5. When you're raking leaves in your yard, are you still tempted to make a big pile and jump in it like you did when you were a kid? If so, do you actually do it? If you don't do it even though you want to, why not? No I'm not tempted to jump in, and I don't let my DD jump in either....we live in Lyme Disease country, almost everyone I know has had it at one time or another, so it would be silly to take that risk!!

Thanks for answering, everyone! It's good to see the old faces back, and meeting new ones is always great, too. I'm back on the FF wagon, I promise!

Its not Friday and I'm late, but I want to join the reunion.

1. I like the fall colors and the cooler daytime temperatures.
2. No decorations
3. Yummy, but just a few
4. I wish flipflop weather was year round - really don't like Winter.
5. After all the work of raking leaves, I would not be tempted to jump in them. I guess I'm too old now. :o

Thanks for brings FF back, Sarah. And I'm sorry I haven't been around PZI Land much lately.

i just wanna say i've been around fdmb too much. i can't seem to read FF as anything different than Fancy Feast. I instantly thought "hmm, wonder what feeding fancy feast again has to do with this thread?" LOL!!!

I did it on facebook this week too. someone was gonna beat some guy at FF and i read it as fancy feast of course, when in reality it had something to do with football i think.

1. ahh autumn here in so. cal. also referred to as 'fire season' generally it's not much different than summer till the very end of it. then the temps go all the way down to like 65 during the day, and we hate that. my favorite part of autumn is that it's usually the warmest part of summer here at the beach!

2 nope, like cindy i might light more candles as it gets darker earlier...and as the nights cool i consider using the fireplace as decoration and warmth both!

3. Yuck!

4. No i don't like wearing cozy clothes i like to wear as little as possible and feel cozy in that. i am not comfortable in alot of clothes. feel all bulked up.

5. Another so. cal. difference. our leaves start falling after spring into mid summer. dry season...so by autumn not much left to rake. then in winter it starts to rain and everything turns green again. i do like walking of the deck before i've swept and hearing the crunch crunch of all the leaves fallen from the tree but it just means ack, i have to sweep.

I agree with Joanna: it IS nice to see everyone back! :-D And Cindy, it was probably Fantasy Football (the FF thing on Facebook). I sometimes do a double take when I see FF here on FDMB, too. That just reminded me, though, I need to go get some FF before there's a revolt!

You CA people and your weird weather! ;-) Lori's description of the weather is just so foreign to me. I'm not sure I could ever live there because I think I would be constantly wondering what to wear and what time of year it really was.

any pants, t-shirt, flippies, shades, & you'z good to go!!!! you can't really go wrong here....

as a native new yorker i often do wonder what season we are in...sometimes it's 90 degrees' on christmas. other times, 60.
we are all basically FREEZING when it dips below 65...that's just tooo much!
and get this, you can go surfing and skiing in the same day in just a 2.5 hour drive.
you can go skiing and then go bake in palm springs in just 3 hours. it is a very weird terrain.
very very weird. but the one thing we really don't have....culture. as a new yorker i do miss 'intelligence' sorry californians...here it's all about health and body.

I just remembered my really favorite thing about fall. ALL THE TOURISTS GO HOME!!!!!
We have our little town back...parking spots, open roads, clear beaches..and no waiting in lines. I LOVE IT!

hey now joanna, sometimes you need a hoodie.
but yes sun glasses are a must all year around.
