So I've been meaning to do something with Fred's leftover insulin. It's all good I believe and has been sitting in my fridge. The expiry date on the vials is April 2012 I believe (or sometime in 2012).

I have 4 of those Lantus pen cartridge thingies.
I have 3 that have been used (of various states of fullness) and 1 totally new unused.

I think they are all good. I would use these for Fred till they ran out--using the same vial for 4-6 months, and always kept them in the middle drawer of the fridge.

I don't feel comfortable mailing these unfortunately, and also I just broke my foot 2 weeks ago and am hobbling around on crutches and in a boot-cast. So I really can't do anything except give them to someone who can come pick them up.

I was hoping to give them to someone in financial need but seems like when I posted before those all needed to be sent by mail--so at this point--I guess anyone in NYC, NY, CT, NJ, PA area who can drive here (I'm on the upper west side), gets them.

My 2 folks who were going to share my 4 vials may not be happening now.

I would really love to donate this insulin to someone who could use it. I posted on Craigs List and also got no replies. I can drive it to surrounding NYC areas if needed--Ct., NJ, maybe parts of PA

It expires in 2012, one brand new vial (the pen cartridges, so smaller vials) and 3 used vials half-or-more full. All good I believe, clear and have been refrigerated the whole time.

I'm on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Would love to donate to someone in financial need, but failing that, would just like to donate to anyone who will use the stuff!

You may want to PM Venita. She may know of someone who could use the insulin, or you could donate it to DCIN.

If it is helpful to anyone either in central NJ or King of prussia or delaware county pa

I live in central nj. And will be in k of p on april 8, so I can transport it to that area. And if you are in delaware county. Can arrange for you to pick it up in havertown after april 8
