It's a baby sock filled with something like beans or whatever - some use it behind the ear so soften the blow of the lancet, I gusee, but I didn't use it. I used those fine, foam makeup sponges to be a better base. It's a Bayer Contour meter and I got my test strips off ebay. Tons cheaper than thru a drugstore. LEt me know if you want it.
